I painted an oil painting of a classic Italian Caprese salad that I stacked in a tower shape consisting of tasty tomatoes, creamy Mozzarella cheese, fragrant basil leaves and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The vibrant colours of the ingredients and the way they complement each other aesthetically made it an ideal subject for a painting. It would make a wonderful addition to a kitchen or dining room, reminding viewers of the simplicity of Italian cuisine.
