For my work, I went to London, England, every few weeks for years. There, I regularly enjoyed an English breakfast at the hotel and that was the inspiration for this painting. You can see the bacon, fried egg, white beans in tomato sauce, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, parsley and toast. It was fun to paint the different textures of the ingredients. I chose a blue background because it gave a fresh contrast to the green plate and the meal.
